Broerman, Rolla Faye, age 75, of Miamisburg, passed away February 18, 2018. Rolla was born May 28, 1942 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Lewis and Viola Jackson. Rolla was a beloved mother and grandmother and a friend to many. She was fun-loving and fiesty, always bringing laughter and joy. She was a huge personality in a tiny person. She loved to tell jokes and simply dance and live in the moment. She appreciated the simplest things in life. She was kind, loving, generous, affectionate and a wealth of information. Mother had the answer for everything. She was our mentor, our friend, our love, our life example. Mother taught us about life, love, and responsibility. She taught us to enjoy life, value family and friends, and go after dreams. She inspired us. Mother was the heart of our entire family…and we were her heart. We were devoted to our Mother/Grandmother as she was to us. Mother also dedicated herself to service. She believed in serving community. Mother volunteered countless hours for a variety of organizations to include the Miamisburg Merchants Association (MMA), the Miamisburg Historical Society, the Baum Opera House, the City of Miamisburg Parks and Recreation, and the Alter Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Red Hats and served the homeless every Thanksgiving. For many years, she spearheaded the beautiful annual planters throughout the City of Miamisburg. Rolla was also an employee of the Miamisburg Pool, the Baum Opera House and, for the last few years, worked for the Miamisburg Municipal Courts. Rolla was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. She was devoted to the Blessed Mother Mary. In addition to her parents, Mother was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Deem and her nephew, Ricky Deem. Mother is survived by her three daughters, Vilena Hutchison and husband, Josh, Tonya Broerman, Angela Lauofo and husband, Faupo; and her six grandchildren, Thomas R. Broerman and wife and son, Rendy and Glenn, Brianna Lauofo, Lupelele Lauofo, Marianna Lauofo, Matthew Lauofo, and Michael Lauofo. Thank you to Father Ron Combs for attending to Mother at the end of her life journey. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, Miamisburg. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg. If desired, donations may be made to American Life League (all.org). Personal condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting Rolla’s online memorial at www.gebhartschmidtparramore.com

My memories of Aunt Rolla always makes me smile. This song brings me comfort as I learn to miss her.
Dancing in the sky- Dani/Lizzy
So, tell me, what do you do in heaven? Are your days filled with love and light? Is there music there? Is there art and invention? Tell me are you happy? Are you more alive?
Cause here on earth it feels like everything
Good is missing since you left
There's an emptiness
Oh oh
I hope you're dancing in the sky and I hope you're singing in the angels choir and
I hope the angels know what they have. I'll bet it's so nice in heaven since you arrived!
Thanks for dance Aunt Rolla you will all ways remain with me in my heart! I love you!

Rolla and I worked together for several years at the Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center. I always enjoyed her joyful spirit, her contagious laugh, and her sense of humor! She was a delightful woman with whom to work! I am quite saddened to learn of her passing and will forever cherish my memories of her - as both a colleague and a friend! My heart goes out to each of her friends and family members, especially her daughters. You are held close in my thoughts and prayers!

We were so blessed to have Rolla reconnect with the members of the graduating class of 1961 from Farmersville High School. It was such a joy to have her join the June Lunch Bunch every year. She shared so much of her joy for life, love for family, and memories with us. We will truly miss her. May her love, peace, and gratitude for life fill each of your hearts.

Words cannot express how sad I was to hear the news of Rolla passing. A true beautiful light has left this world. I remember the days when Vilena & I were in Girl Scouts together & our moms were the leaders... Laughter, love & fun always. Sending love & prayers to you all

I will miss the many conversations Rolla and I had about family and life in general. She was always encouraging of anything I was getting myself into. She brought laughter and joy to my life and I'm sure anyone else who has ever come in contact with her! Her spirit was that of someone half her age Lol

Love you Rolla

Our friend Rolla will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was a big part of our early plans for the Memorial Day events. She and her daughters were there to help us decorate the Baum for our Memorial Day Dance and was always there to lend a hand. She also always helped me with the refreshments for the monthly Historical Society general meetings..The only thing she didn't want to do was cut the cherry cheesecakes that Joe Stanton always made for the refreshment portion of the meeting.. She said "I can't cut the pieces straight!" I cut them but we laughed as mine weren't straight either. She was always glad to help and Randy and I really appreciated everything she did. We all will miss her terribly. Please know you have our thoughts and prayers as you move forward at this difficult time. We are still in Florida and will not be home in time for her services but we will be thinking of her family and friends.
With deepest sympathy,
Randy and Melanie Staley

Rolla brought so much joy to my life. Her laughter brought the sun back out on rainy days, her wisdom kept my boat sailing through storms, her selfless way of caring for others first humbled a young soul like mine. We shared family stories, trials, tribulations, and fears. We spent many days reminiscing on how proud she was of her daughters, their spouses, and grandchildren. How deeply she loved everything about them, how proud she was of their accomplishments, and all the things she still longed to do for them. Watching her eyes light up when telling me each detail, the chuckles in between, even the little snacks we shared during our daily time together always were the best parts of my day. I long to hear Good Morning Neighbor from that ever so calming voice. To have met such a beautiful person was more than a blessing to everyone around. Loving Rolla was so easy because she loved you back so much more. Forver in my heart, engraved in my soul is My Rolla, My Neighbor, My Forever Friend!

Rolla will be missed. There was always laughter and fun when she was around. Never forget hooking the pony to the cart and going down in the field. The Cart broke down. Rolla laughed and joked over it. She could put a smile on my face no matter how bad things were. Loved her so much. She raised 3 beautiful loving daughters. Prayers for all of you.

It was always lively and fun when Rolla was around. She was a doer and her loss will be felt in her community. She made an effort to stay in touch with her KY family and appreciated her roots.
So sorry to have lost her.
