Berniece "Bea" Thomas

Berniece lone Thomas, 88, of Midland passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013. She was born on June 25, 1925 in Kimball County, Nebraska to Carl Ferdinana Hoffman and Emma Ellen Degler. Bea graduated From Kimball County High School and attended the University of Nebraska. She married Edwin W. Thomas, Jr. on March 23, 1946 in Perryton, Texas. Bea was past-president of Midland Study Club, S.C.S. Club, United Methodist Women and several other organizations. Bea has been a resident of Midland since 1953.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill Hoffman.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Wayne Thomas, Jr.; her daughters: Pamela Kay Stephenson and husband Terry, Marcia Ann Doughty and Brenda Sue Sorrells and husband Lynn; her sister, Nancy Herman; her grandchildren: Deana Delozierl, Jesse Sorrells, Ashley Sanders and Dodd Duvall and has 9 great grandchildren. Bea also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many Friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2013 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M at First United Methodist Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
