HINCHMAN, Grace Kitelynn, 89, of Richmond, VA, passed away May 26, 2018. Grace was born on August 24, 1928, in Hopewell, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lena Kitelynn, sister E. Rosa Kitelynn, and Daniel E. Hinchman Sr., her husband of 57 years. She is survived by her children - Daniel E. Hinchman Jr. (Tina), D. Scott Hinchman (Melissa) and Patricia H. Johnson (Andrew); grandchildren - Ashley (John), Kelley (Mike), Daniel (Sandy), Erica, Caroline Grace (Patrick), Avery, Drew, Carter, CJ and Chelsie; and great-grandchildren - Ward, Will, Reid, Grace, Charlotte, and Channing Grace; and Linda C. Hinchman.
She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Pan American Business School. She was a longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church (Richmond), serving faithfully on various committees, especially The Altar Guild. Grace was a 59-year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood (nationwide organization dedicated to education for women), an active member and past president of Chapter Y, Richmond, VA, and a Virginia Past State President presiding 1988-1989. She also served on the executive board for Summerhill UOA as Treasurer for 9 years.
Grace was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be remembered for her generous spirit, caring heart, and wisdom. Her energy and enthusiasm for life were boundless. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life Reception will be held at The Lodge, Summerhill at Stony Point, from 2-4pm on Sunday, June 3, 2018, 9250 Forest Hill Ave., Richmond, VA 23235.

The family would like to thank the loving and compassionate care provided to Miss Grace by Neema Caregivers LLC – Bertha Reed, Carolyn Taylor, Alice Chege, Niyomana Beate, and Elise Hicks as well as Jemimah Maghenyi. Her remains will be committed at a later date to Forest Lawn Cemetery during a family service.
