NICHOLAS, Louise B., age 94, of Richmond, VA peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her beloved children, Holly A Roper, Bruce B Nicholas; and husband, Paul H Nicholas. She is survived by 3 children, Kathryn N Davis, Paul W Nicholas, Louise Nancy Nicholas; 2 grandchildren, Marc Roper and Janet Henderson; as well as 6 great grandchildren. Born in Newport, RI to a military family, she grew up in Weymouth, MA. Married to Paul H. Nicholas for over 67 years, she met her husband while working as a secretary for the US Army in Boston. Louise was devoted to her family, loved animals and children, and was an extraordinary cook, creating delicious holiday meals. She was a girl scout leader, “Saleswoman of the Year” while working for Miller & Rhoads department store for 14 yrs. She volunteered as a “pink lady” at Chippenham Hospital. She was always thinking of others first and was kind to everyone. A devoted Catholic her whole life, funeral service will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., N. Chesterfield, VA 23235 on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Virginia Veterans Cemetery of Amelia, VA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian, VA. 23113.
