Born April 1, 1931 to Erma Louise Richards and Thomas Calder Cook in Pocatello, Idaho. Guy spent most of his youth in Salt Lake City, graduating from South High School, and went on to obtain his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and MBA from the University of Utah where he was affiliated with Sigma Chi Fraternity. He became a CPA, starting his own business, working for National Firms and retired from William G. Robinson Accountancy Corporation in San Francisco, CA.
Guy served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War; he was stationed in Olathe, Kansas. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully in many capacities through the years.
Guy was a man of integrity and was always on the lookout to help someone in need and gave freely of himself in so many ways.
Guy married Carolyn McDonell in 1958 (later divorced), then reunited with his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Hansen Drachman. They married in 1990 and they spent 29 wonderful years together.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hansen Drachman Cook; 3 sons, Dean (Nova), Mark (JoLynn) and Stephen (Robin); 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 step-children, Michael (Julie) Drachman, Kevin (Michelle) Drachman and Leslie Drachman (Bradley) Eatchel; 10 step-grandchildren (we will miss you "Papa Guy"); and 7 step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brent; and 4 brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at the Murray 1st Ward at 775 E. Three Fountains Drive (5030 S.) in Murray, Utah on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
