Christopher Robert Hird, age 50 of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away at home on February 3rd after a brief illness. He was born on May 13, 1969 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Robert John Hird (deceased) and Catherine Connolly Hird Smith. Christopher was a chef by trade. He was a composer of his own music and loved sitting-in on guitar with many local musicians.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine E. Smith of Fort Walton Beach; his sister, Sally Ann HIrd of Manchester, New Hampshire; two sons, Jonathan Hird and Jeffrey Hird of Massachusetts; three nieces, Susannah Hird Haynes of Fort Walton Beach, Denisha Rowles and Olivia Summers of Texas; two great nieces, Doninique Hird and Eden Rowles and one great nephew, Exra Rowles all of Texas. Chris is also survived by his loving Aunts and Uncles: Andrew Connolly, Marion and Robert Torrone, Gert and Tom Wasilishen, Patricia and Jack Wright and their extended families all of the Jersey Shore. Also surviving Christopher is his best friend and constant companion, his dog, Gracie, who never left his side.
