I had Marilyne as a teacher in the early 1970s at UMinn. She was a master teacher of teaching. So calm and encouraging to those of us stepping into the classroom, learning to teach. I later worked with her in the Mounds Midway School of Nursing historical display project. She always had little significant gifts. She gave me a Nurse PEZ dispenser now on display in my nursing history center. "You Done Good" Marilyne! (She always used to say that).

Marilyne was an outstanding faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. She was enthusiastic, creative, and very student-centered.

I had the privilege to team teach with Marilyne for many years in graduate nursing education courses. What a delight! She had so many creative ideas for reaching students at all levels. I learned so much from her.

Marilyne was a great friend, as well as a faculty colleague. She was warm and loving. Very other-oriented..

And who could forget Marilyn in her role as "Jello", the clown! She loved that role, too.

May you now Rest In Peace in God's presence, Marilyne.

Love,
Sheila Corcoran-Perry
