

Don Sherrill Jamison passed away surrounded by his loving family February 16, 2018 after a difficult battle with cancer. He was born January 26, 1941 the oldest son of the late Reese Arnaugh Jamison Junior and Helen Conder Jamison.
For most of his life, he worked with his parents and two brothers at the Jamison Meat Company. Founded in the early 1900s by his grandfather, the company made sausage and livermush for local grocery stores and restaurants.
After the business closed, he began working at the Larkhaven Golf Club. Don loved to play golf and enjoyed working and playing at Larkhaven.
Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 742 and was and long-time member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church. Earlier in his life, he was a volunteer with the Mint Hill Fire Department and a member of the Mint Hill Jaycees. He also enjoyed spending time at Holden Beach with his family.
Don is survived by his wife Becky Ross Jamison, daughters Leslie Allen (Butch) and Sherri Leazer (Jay); grandchildren Shelley Leazer, Brooke and Zachary Allen; brothers Arnie Jamison of Charlotte, Ronnie Jamison (Patsy) of Mint Hill, Mike Jamison (Linda) of Lake Mary FL; brother-in-law Jimmy Ross of Barnesville, GA; aunts Doris Jamison Fincher, Bette Jamison Downs and Kathleen Conder Wright all of Charlotte and special family friend Edna Creasman and her family of Marshville.
The family would like to thank Doctors Daniel Watson, Mark Heitbrink and Alfred Newman and their staff for the excellent care over the years. They would also like to thank the Larkhaven family and Novant Health Hospice.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill. The family will receive friends following the service in Bingham Hall. Burial will be private.
Honorary pall bearers will be the employees of Larkhaven Golf Club.
