He was born on August 4, 1944 in Charlotte, NC to the late Raymond Wilson, Sr. and Minnie Mullis Sharpe.
Ray retired from the City of Charlotte after 30 years of service.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his daughter, Treasa; son, Ray Wilson (Mary); and granddaughters, Ashley Hinson, Makayla Wilson and Angel Stephenson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Wilson; sisters, Betty Huneycutt and Laurine Shaffer.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 with a visitation held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
