Lillian Chaudron Tillman-Pettis, a long-time resident of Mobile County, Alabama, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. She was born April 2, 1924, in Perdue Hill, Alabama to John Ernest and Minnie Welch Chaudron. Lillian was one of ten children. She was preceded in death by siblings: Frank, John, Sarah, Minnie, Jennie, Imogene, and Willie. She was also preceded in death by husband, Gaines O. Tillman, and three of their children: Nettie (Edward) Dickson, Peggy (Johnnie) Carpenter, and Faith Tillman. She was also preceded in death by husband, Jacob Pettis, as well as long-time companion, Charles DesRoches. She is survived by two brothers, Steve (Brandi) Chaudron and Clarence Zeno (Connie) Chaudron. Lillian lived out her life being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, and aunt. She loved family gatherings where everyone enjoyed wonderful food and togetherness. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Patricia (Archie) Moore, Lilly (Doug) Ray, and Jerry (Lisa) Tillman; grandchildren, Teresa (Gary) Griffin, Cindy (Robbie) Sealey, Lee (Wendy) Dickson, Michael Dickson, Cliff (Wendy) Moore, Lori (David) Zachary, Regina (Edmond) Tsang, Brittanni Tillman, Paige Tillman and Nathan Tillman; many great and great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. The family especially thanks for the tender care of SAAD’s nurses Jennifer and Joy, and SAAD’s Hospice. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required. Pallbearers will be Lee Dickson, Mike Lose, Cliff Moore, Nathan Tillman, Johnnie Carpenter III, and Chris Carpenter. Officiating the service will be Rev. LaRue Carraway.
