Willie Mae Perkins Chenault

Willie Mae “Sue” Chenault, 87, of Mobile, the widow of Rex V. Chenault, went home to the Lord on Friday, November 11, 2011. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Ramona Chenault (Cliff) Thompson; sister, Tressie Smith; brother, Frank Perkins and many nieces, nephews and friends. She and her husband owned and operated Chenault’s Restaurant in Memphis from 1949 to 1986 and she developed Hidden Grotto subdivision in Memphis. Mrs. Chenault had a passion for horses. She jumped, trained and showed thoroughbreds in the Memphis area for 25 years, and was an avid fox hunter in the Germantown, Tennessee area. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:30 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Sunday evening 7PM from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Interment will be Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Forest Hill Cemetery South in Memphis, Tennessee. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
