Jack Lee Keys Jack was born to Thomas Erton & Opal Keys on December 19, 1943, in Alpena, Arkansas. He left us on February 4th, 2018, in the comfort of his home in Aerial Acres, North Edwards, California. The Keys Family moved to Boron, CA in 1948. Jack began kindergarten at Gephart Elementary and graduated from Desert High School, in 1961. He immediately began his work career at U.S. Borax, as a Laborer and worked his way up to Heavy Equipment Operator. He Retired from Borax, many years later. In May of 1966, he married the love of his life, Betty Lou Beavers. They were married at the Boron Baptist Church, and spent the next 51 years together. Just last year, they Celebrated their 50th Anniversary, with friends and family. Jack loved to Target Shoot and spent many years, perfecting his skills. He and Betty loved to go fishing and camping, in the early years, and then traveling became their passion. They would drive across country to visit family and friends. Laughlin was a favorite weekend getaway. They enjoyed many years with Amargo Cruisers, and showing their Vintage Cars. He spent countless hours in his shop working on his cars and prepping them for weekend outings. Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, Father-Thomas Erton Keys and Mother-Opal Keys. Brother- Junior Thomas Keys. Father in-law- Fran Beavers and Mother in-law- Naomi Beavers. Sister in-law- Ona Webb, Nephew- James Roland Wise, Niece- Caressa Duncan, Niece- Franncie Beavers and Great Niece- Tiela Ray. He is survived by his wife-Betty Keys. Brother in-laws and Sister in-laws-David & Ann Beavers, Reggie & Mary Fey Mercer, Mike & Caron Johnston, and Virginia Keys. Nephews-Brian Keys, Darrell Keys, Donald Webb, and Alan Mercer. Nieces-Lisa Wise, Kristina Mercer, Brenna Ray, and Lydia Paul. Also, 19 Great Nieces and Nephews and 9 Great-great Nieces and Nephews. Jack will be laid to rest at Mojave Cemetery. Stickel Mortuary will officiate. Services will be held Monday, February 12, 2018. Viewing at Stickel Mortuary, at 10:00 am. Graveside Services to commence at 11:00am.
