Billy Ray Jordan Sr., age 79, of Monroe, passed away on June 29, 2018.

He was born in Union County on March 11, 1939, son of the late Louie and Louise Helms Jordan. Bill is survived by his sons, Billy Ray Jordan Jr and wife, Jill and Eddie Lynn Jordan; his granddaughter, Jillia Nicole Jordan; his brother, William Eugene Jordan; his sister, Sarah J. Rorie.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Monday July 2, 2018 at Friendly Baptist Church . A service to celebrate Bill's life will begin at 2:00pm with Reverend Dustin Knight and Ken Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Friendly Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Friendly Baptist Church, 5418 Friendly Baptist Church Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079 . McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the Jordan family.
