Tamera and I provide our deepest condolences to the Richter family. We pray for God’s grace upon you all during this time of loss.
I don’t remember Uncle Doug ever having a bad day when we would visit as kids and young adults. He always had a positive word for you and often referred to me as a superstar. What a positive motivator and uplifting soul he had and shared with the world. I remember spending time at the Richter lake house in Canandaigua shooting clay pigeons over the pond. I remember forgetting my lunch the first day I worked for Doug and Steve building houses. I’m sure they provided me something to eat that day. May God bless the Richter family with positive memories of Doug and the joy of eternal life which Doug is enjoying through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Sending our condolences from Chris & Roberta Smith. We have such fond memories of Uncle Doug, he was a great man with a strong will, a strong work ethic and also was always willing to tell a joke or give you a friendly jab. I conferred with Uncle Doug for a lot of my career decisions and he always gave me good advice. He helped guide me to be the man I am today and I will be forever grateful to him. Sending love and prayers for comfort to Aunt Jean and the families of Kevin, Steve, Skip and Kathy. We love all y’all!!!

Doug and I jokingly called ourselves the outlaws of the family. We remember visiting homes he built in our area. Also recall a visit to the famiy in Midlothian, Va. many years ago. H was a good friend and family man. God rest his soul.
Blessings on each of you in the richter family!
Sincerely and with much love, Donna and John Smith
