Milton (Wayne) Robinson, age 62, passed away on October 4, 2020 of natural causes at his home.

Wayne had worked at Cyril Bath in Monroe for a number of years. He loved the land and watching plants and trees grow and produce. He enjoyed the simple things – the quiet serenity of the woods or a visit with close friends. He loved grilling out with family and spending time with loved ones. Wayne was a perfectionist when it came to woodworking or restoration – he had the patience required to turn it into art. He also loved TV westerns or anything that harkened back to simpler times. He lived by the creed that a man’s word was his bond. He felt that nothing was more important than the love of God, family, and friends. Survivors include brother, Dale Robinson and wife Andrea of Monroe; sisters, Bonnie Austin of Weddington, Debbie Davis and husband Mike of Huntersville, NC. Five nephews, four nieces, and two great nieces. He was preceded in death by parents Milton and Mabel Robinson, sister, Dana Robinson Britt, and brother-in-law Jim Austin. Burial service will be private and a Memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Siler Presbyterian Church, 6301 Weddington Road, Matthews NC, 28104; or to a charity of your choice. “Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1-3 (ASV) McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to be serving the Robinson Family.

Wayne was a classmate of mine in the 1976 graduating class at Sun Valley High School near Monroe, NC. He was always a quiet, honest, easy going guy. Saw him several times over the years at our high school reunions. The world will not be the same without Wayne.
My condolences to all family and other friends as well.

Rest in peace Wayne!

I worked with Wayne for years and he was truly a southern gentleman. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone he met. His family, his church family and his coworkers were so special to him as he was to us. I pray that God will wrap His arms around his family and give them the peace knowing Wayne is with Him.

My condolences to Bonnie, Debbie, Dale, and the entire Robinson family. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
Our family moved to Wesley Chapel across the street(actually a gravel road) from the Robinsons shortly before Wayne was born so I guess I knew him his whole life. I remember playing at each other's house but especially in our yards as children. We were free-range children long before it was fashionable.
As an adult, he was always there to help my parents and sister. When my father had his tractor turn over on him it was Wayne that was the first one there to pull him out from under it, probably saving his life.
In later years it was always good to see him at church and catch up.
I will miss his friendship.

My condolences to the family of Wayne. The family of Wayne also included anyone he met during his journey through life. He so often used a salutation of "Hey Brother", which I truly believe was sincere. He was a brother in Christ and followed in his footsteps spreading hope, encouragement, happiness, joy and anything else needed at the appropriate time. When I would get discouraged or needed some inspiration during the day, I could always count on Wayne to lift me up. Wayne always built up people and never tore down a soul. A true brother of Christ!

Wayne loved to help people and would not hesitate to help anyone in need. I have known Wayne for over 18 years and have many good stories and memories we developed over this precious time. It has been a privilege and pleasure to have been part of Wayne's life. We will all miss Wayne and will cherish all the memories we had together.

God Bless!

“1 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

I didn’t really know Wayne too well, but I spoke with him on occasion through work. Whenever I did speak with Wayne he couldn’t do enough to help. He was wonderful to speak to and I wish to pass

My deepest condolences to the Robinson Family.

Wayne, I am sorry I never had the opportunity to personally meet you. I feel like I know you as one of my dearest friends is your brother Dale. I always enjoyed the numerous stories and videos Dale shares with me of the two of you spending time together. Shootin' your new six-shooters, working on tractors together, picking vegetables from your garden. I know you were a wonderful man and that your passing has left a hole in the heart of my dear friend Dale and his entire family that can never be filled.

I hope in time the entire family can find some peace and acceptance of your loss and that God watches over them all and provides comfort.
