Born in Denver Colorado to Basil and Victorine Alspaugh. Married Ed Lucero August 29,1959. Mother of Elizabeth Ann 1962, Kathy Adams and Patty Mowers 1963, Joe 1967, Janine Hayes 1970.
A very versatile woman being involved in gymnastics as the Washington state judging director, and judging at the club, high school and collegiate levels, as well as the World Games international level. She is a member of the USA Gymnastic Hall Of Fame, and the first woman selected as a member of the Washington Officials Hall Of Fame. Also involved in the miniature horse association showing and competing her horses, and the dog agility competition with her dog Ozzie. In her youth she was a member of the Seattle Skating Club as a figure skater.
After the passing of her first child in 1962, she was the mother of four beautiful children and wife of Ed for 59 wonderful years. She is survived by her husband Ed, daughters Kathy and husband Mark Adams, Patty and husband Skip Mowers, Janine and husband Shawn Hayes, Peggy Canady, son Joe Lucero and wife Elissa,. In addition grandchildren Aaron, Renee, Hailee, Joanna, MacKenzie, Joel, Alex, and Amanda.
There will be a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M., with a reception following, December 7 at St Mary of the Valley Church, Monroe. Please no flowers. We’d ask instead to use the money to donate to Catholic Community Services or a charity of your choice.
