Cecilia was one of 5 children. Born the 21st of March 1937 in Salem, New Mexico to Thomas and Juanita Moncada. Growing up a country girl, and attending the local schools of Hatch, New Mexico. Oh the memories she recalled.
In 1957, at 17 years old, Cecilia left her little home town and headed for sunny California. While living in the city of Baldwin Park she met a young man. His name, Robert Ybarra. They fell in love and got married in 1968.
While raising their very large family, Cecilia and Robert moved and settled into the town of Monrovia, California.
Cecilia worked in the electronics industry for over 10 years when she retired in 1989. She kept busy and had many skills and talents in art, sewing, knitting, crochet, and crafts.
Cecilia was known to be kind and a big-hearted person. It's been said that “she was the best thing to come out of Hatch, New Mexico”. A beautiful lady and beautiful memories.
She is survived by her husband Robert Ybarra, their children James (Jimmy) Moncada,Cecilia (Danny) Lopez, Josie Ybarra, Carol (Dale) Sandlin, Mark,( Rebecca) Leos, Raymond ( Mary Beth) Ybarra, Maria Ybarra, Simon (Lisa) Ybarra and Margaret (Tim) Shaw. She has 26 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
