Alice Irean Jarman

Alice Irean Jarman passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023, after a lengthy battle with dementia. She was born in Shinglehouse, PA, on September 18, 1933. Her family moved to California when she was a teenager. Mrs. Jarman retired from the Alabama Beverage Control Board and went on to work parttime with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In addition to raising 6 children, Mrs. Jarman was always helping others, including taking family members into her home at their times of need.

Mrs. Jarman was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Lafayette Geneaux and Alice Irean Kemp Geneaux; husbands Henry Judson McCormick and James Wilson Jarman; and daughter Miranda Ann McCormick Sykes.

She is survived by her sons, Henry Wade McCormick, Lewis Judson McCormick, Teddy (Ellen) McCormick and Barney Lee McCormick; and daughter, Helon Irean (Donald) Bennett, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Family and Friends Visitation for Alice will be held Friday, September 29th, 2023 at 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life Chapel Service at 12:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery Alabama, 36109.

The family will receive guests after the service at 2469 Lightwood Road, Deatsville, Alabama 36022.
