Charlene, you helped me grow up and became a true friend. You taught me about cooking and how to love through the tough times. You were someone I could talk to about anything. I wish I could have done more for you. You've been on my mind so much lately. I look forward to seeing your beautiful smile in heaven, all pain gone. I pray for peace for your family beyond understanding.

Grandmama Charlene,
A strong, selfless, loving, hard working woman. With open arms you took me in when I needed you most. You changed the coarse of my life and showed me what what it took to be a good man and a decent person. Your influence was ever present in a family that was in constant need. You loved unconditionally in the purest form. Becky said it best and we will always remember the examples you gave us in life, in living and after death. I will never forget the daily list, all the yard work, pool cleanings, house painting, pressure washing, Y2K prepping, hand written directions, daily home cooked meals, eggs-in-a-whole-in-the-basket, sausage gravy, ritz chicken and ice cream every night. You supported all of us in one way or another and set the example for family, togetherness, love and forgiveness. We have so many angels waiting for us in heaven and now we have you too. I miss you already Grandmama and we will be together again one day.

Grandma,
You were an amazing woman. You spent most of your life taking care of those of us around you, even when we were far from deserving of it. At one point or another, every person in our family leaned on you and you were strong when we were not.
Though the last years of your life were full of hardship, I will always think of you whistling like a songbird around your kitchen in Ranchette, making pies from the pecans we all picked up from the trees in your front yard, and so many summers with all the cousins in your swimming pool.
So many memories of the security you gave us when others could not. I am so thankful to have called you my Grandma, and I will miss you always.

So sorry for your loss! I remember the good times we had swimming in Charlene's pool so many years ago.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
