ROBINSON, Eleanor “Ellie”, lost her battle with cancer and went to Heaven on April 14, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Tallassee, Alabama, and has lived in Montgomery since 1958. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry; daughters, Amy Ronan (John) of Montgomery, and Annabeth Robinson, of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Amy Katherine Ronan, of Auburn, AL; grandsons, Wheeler Ronan, Clay Ronan, and Ethan Ronan; a sister, Linda Brennon (Jim), of Gallatin, TN; lifelong friends, Judy Haynie Mason, Nita Pemberton Hicks, and Jean Twilley Chancellor. Mrs. Robinson trained as an X-ray technologist at St. Margaret’s Hospital where she worked for 30 years. She served as Director of Radiology for many years. Later, she worked as Jackson Imaging for 20 years. She was a faithful member at Eastern Hills Baptist Church since January 1961. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and loved to travel, especially to the beach. A Private Graveside for family members will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 10 AM, at Alabama Heritage Cemetery, followed by her Memorial Service at 2 PM, at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Marshall officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
