Johnnie Mappin

MAPPIN, Johnnie M., 94, a long-time resident of Montgomery, AL, died Thursday, 26 April 2018, in Nashville, TN where she had lived for the previous thirteen years. Graveside service will be Wednesday, 2 May, 2018 at 2:00 with Reverend David McVey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2 May, 2018 at White Chapel - Greenwood at 1:00 preceding the service. Mrs. Mappin had been a member of Dalraida Methodist Church. She worked in the Linen Department at Sears for over thirty years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George W. Mappin, also by brother Pete Millican, and sisters Polly Rye and Patricia Wheat. She is survived by her daughter Kita Mappin and son-in-law Lloyd Townsend, Jr, of Nashville, TN; by sister Mary Crossley and niece Bitsey Moore of Tuscumbia, AL; by niece Cathy Fischer of Diessenhofen, Switzerland and nephew Gentry Wheat of Murfreesboro, TN and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
