Corene A Bradshaw
February 18, 1932 – July 5, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Corene Adelle Bradshaw on Sunday July 5, 2020 at the age of 88. She passed peacefully in her home in Montreal with her niece Gerdsene. Corene was born in St. George Barbados on the 18th of February 1932, the daughter of Eudora and George Bradshaw. She attended St Judes Primary and St Augustine High School. After leaving high school, she became a qualified hairdresser and seamstress. She migrated to Canada in 1961 where she trained as a nurse and in culinary. She travelled extensively because of her profession to many places including the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, New York and many others. She often visited her brothers in England where she was able to visit her nieces and nephews and meet her grand and great grand nephews and nieces. She was very talented as a dress maker, hairdresser, a great baker and cook, along with being a great painter, crocheting, knitting and tapestry. She had an amazing sense of style and will always be remembered for her straightforwardness, heart of gold and her no-nonsense attitude along with a great sense of humour. Many of you will know that when you go up against Aunty Corene you will not win. She will give you a good telling off and when she is done she will pray for you. Throughout the years she dedicated her life to God. She spent her time reading her bible and you will often hear her say all she needs is Jesus, Jesus is all she needs. She even taught her church the chorus to the song Jesus is all I need. She is predeceased by her siblings Sonny, George, Colleen, OConnor and Wilmott. She will be missed by her sisters Audene and Gwendoline and her younger brother Anthony. She was never married but has many nephews and nieces that she loved unconditionally.

My favourite memory of my aunt is whenever I came to visit, after having breakfast we would have morning prayers and Bible studies. Then after supper she would convince me to pour a glass of her favourite tipple. Always and Forever in my heart , forever in memory. Always remember your talks and advice. R.I.E.P. Aunty. Until we meet again.🙏❤❤
