Darlene M. Leger

She was born in Lafayette, LA but lived in Ragley, LA for 44 years. Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Among her many talents she was a fantastic cook who loved God, her family and her grandchildren. She was a very compassionate person who always had a softness for the less fortunate and had such a humble spirit. Darlene was a friend to all; her best friend is Lynette Bradbury. Their friendship has lasted for 57 years. She was married to her loving husband, Burt Leger for 42 years, until his passing. Because of her comforting and loving nature she was a prayer warrior for her children, grandchildren and for people in need.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Angela Leger and her husband Dr. Farid Aminzadeh of Irving, TX., Lisa Leger Primeaux and husband Mark Primeaux of Sunset, LA., two brothers; Ronnie Godeaux and wife Charlene Godeaux of Westlake, LA., Charles Godeaux and wife Doreen Godeaux of Dallas, OR, and two grandchildren; Nicole Primeaux and Nicholas Aminzadeh. The family would like to extend their heart felt appreciation to Regina Leger McComb, Robbie Stout Reed and her Hospice Caregiver, Hilda Brooks. All of whom showered her with love, comfort and support.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff in Moss Bluff, LA. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 8:00am until time of Service.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 10:00am at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff in Moss Bluff, LA with Pastor David Lilly officiating.

Burial will be at Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff, LA.
