

She was born Wednesday, March 18, 1925 in Muncie, the daughter of Admiral Dewey and Gladys Iva Hole. Dewala retired from the U.S. Postal Service after thirty years of service in Yorktown and Springport. She also worked at several dress shops, the Yorktown School cafeteria, Yorktown State Bank, and Hole's Nut House. Dewala was a member of the Yorktown Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie (husband Harry) Owens; six grandchildren, Michelle (husband Jerry) Hays, Julie Hayden, Angela "Angie" (husband J.J.) McCoy, Holly Jessee , Troy Niccum and Amy (husband Scott) Brown; eight great-grandchildren, Logan and Jordan Jessee, Drew and Luke Hayden, Madi and Macy McCoy, Katie Brown and Rebekah Hays; two brothers, Howard Hole and Rollin Hole; several nieces; nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Pugsley and Howard "Whitey" Niccum a daughter, Ruthann Foster; step-son, Mike Niccum and her step-mother, Lillian Hole.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Rev. Jeff Castetter and Rev. Julie Hayden officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
