Henry C. Taylor, age 90 of Liberty Township, passed away at home on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 7:43PM. He was born in Calvin, KY on February 11, 1925 to William and Rosa Belle (Saylor) Taylor. Henry was employed at Fisher Body for 30 years and was a charter member of the Liberty Township Fire Department, Chief for a number of years and instrumental in starting the life squad. Henry was a Grand Marshall for Liberty Township. He honorably served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in WWII and again saw action in Korea, receiving three bronze stars. Henry was an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed bluegrass music.
He is survived by his children, Denise Harrison and Nick Taylor, his grandchildren, Nicole Taylor and Hayley Taylor, his sister, Pheba Patrick, his sister-in-law, Helen Taylor, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Glenda Fields for her loving attention and care. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Taylor, seven brothers and sisters, and his parents.
