David was an artist who primarily used wood as his canvas. He owned his own business, where he serviced the Retail Shopping Center Industry. David designed Kiosks, Push Carts, Retail Merchandising Units, and Custom Cabinetry for all the major mall owners across the Unites States. David’s Kiosk designs were covered by a United States Patent. He has products in all 50 states, and 7 foreign countries. David was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch NASCAR, the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings, OV Cardinals, and of course, Muskegon and Traverse City Hockey. David was a proud one hundred percent permanent and total Disabled American Veteran.
David’s first love was family. David even referred to his In-Laws as ‘Mom and Dad’, because his were already with our Lord. David had a special relationship with each and every one of his children, grandchildren, and 2 great granddaughters. He loved them more than life itself. David did have one last love, fishing, just look at the photos of him out on the water.
David was preceded in death by his Parents Harvey and Dorothy Johnson, Brothers Harvey, Kirk, and Terry, as well as, Sister Marion Bacon.
David is Survived by his loving Wife Carol Johnson; Children Jodi Rebedew, Scott Stone, and Stacy Strauss; Grandchildren Neftali Velez, Nina Loera, Noah Rebedew, Jordyn Eggerson, Jaelyn Eggerson, Gavin Strauss, Tyler Stone, Carter Stone, Sawyer Stone, and Brayden Stone; Great Grandchildren Jersey Reyes, Jessa Sied, and Eli Mendoza.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 starting at 11:00 am at Fellowship Reformed Church, located at 4200 E. Apple Ave. Muskegon, MI 49442.
