Born July 3rd, 1938 to Clayton & Thelma Whitney, she grew up in Grant, moving to Muskegon when marrying Charles (Sonny/Charlie) Budwick Jr. on September 28th, 1957. He proceeded her in death on July 9th, 2010.
Together, they loved and raised 3 children. A daughter, LouAnne (Ken) Musk, a son Michael (Robin) Budwick, and a daughter Donnis (Aaron) Pastor.
Eilien retired from the Oakridge Public School system. She worked as a Secretary at several of the school district locations over many years, as well as holding an administrative positon for them.
Even though living with Alpha-1 for decades, Eilien was unstoppable. Always on the go, and always busy. You could easily find her sewing, knitting, crocheting, or finding a card game to attend, especially Euchre, Cribbage, or Texas Hold-em. She enjoyed travelling with Charlie to casino’s, camping, or their cabin in Luther. Spending time with her family, her Club ladies, and her life-long friends was very dear to her.
Eilien leaves behind her 3 Children, 6 Grandchildren, & 5 Great-Grandchildren, as well has her brother Darold Whitney, her special sister-in-law Mary Lou Heft, and her dog “Snickers”.
She was very persistent that no one should mourn her loss. She would rather you take a long, deep breath and remember her smile, her quick wit, and her zest for life, all the while knowing that she is now also able to breath just as deep.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of Eilien Budwick will be announced & held by her family at a later date.
