Mr. Francis Drust passed away at the age of 74 on September 7, 2018.
He was born in Fremont, MI to John and Adela (Wawsczyk) Drust on
May 20,1944. He married Mary Ann Buhay of Fruitport, MI on May 22,
1965. They shared 53 years together and raised 3 children. Frank was a
patternmaker for over 30 years. He was a member of the Polish
Falcons, lifetime member of the Fruitport Eagles and former member of
the Polish Union. Frank was a generous and giving person, serving as a
volunteer for Old Newsies Goodfellows of Muskegon County for many
years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and general outdoorsman. He
enjoyed these hobbies, as well as hosting many events for family and
friends, at his beloved cabin. He was often referred to as “Spoonman”
by family and friends, taking pleasure in playing the wooden spoons to
country music in Florida and to polka music at the Polish Union. For the
past 16 years he and his wife wintered in Bowling Green, Florida. There
he took joy in entertaining their Pioneer Creek friends playing his
spoons and singing karaoke. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, three
children: Rhonda (Mike) Neher, Anjanette (Greg) Vanderstelt, Gregory
(Elizabeth) Drust; seven grandchildren: Samantha, April, Hannah, Cord,
Stephanie, Jacob, Jack; two great-grandchildren: Madison, Benjamin,
and one due in March. He is also survived by his brothers Larry (Mary)
Drust, Leonard (Cathy) Drust and Paul (Judy) Drust, as well as many
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and
Adela Drust, and his in-laws: Paul and Wanda Buhay. As per his wishes,
no funeral service will be held. A private Memorial Service will be held
