ALSTEEN, MRS. SHIRLEY M. Fruitport
Mrs. Shirley Mae Alsteen, age 83, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011. She was born in Shingleton, MI on July 18, 1927 to Melvin and Alice (Haff) Kroening. Shirley is survived by her children, Bobby (Vickie) Alsteen of Fruitport, Rod (Terrie) Alsteen of Twin Lake, Michael (Lisa) Alsteen of Fruitport, Bruce Alsteen of Norton Shores, Anita (Gary) Flowers and Jacki (Jon) Sauser, both of Fruitport; many grand, great and great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Doris (Bud) Christiansen of CA and Loraine Burgess of Fruitport; 2 brothers, Richard (Sis) Kroening of CA and Claude (Kay) Kroening of Muskegon; special sister-in-law, Eleda Kroening of Fruitport; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; 3 sisters and 6 brothers. Shirley had retired from Modular System of Fruitport and was a member of the Fruitport Eagles. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time from 10 to 11 AM. Burial at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy VNS and Hospice Services.

Aunt Shirley will always be remembered as a sweet wonderful lady whom I loved from the first time I met her. She will be greatly missed. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
