Donnie Ray Hamner passed away on April 29, 2018 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on February 3, 1941 in Killen, Alabama to parents, Robert Jackson Hamner and Anna Pearl Herston Hamner.

Donnie enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Attoyac Hunting Club. He retired as a shop manager for Pilgrim’s Pride.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include: wife, Esta Chireno Hamner; son, Troy Hamner; daughter, Debra Gonzales; son, Matthew Hamner; step-son, Terry Alvers; step-daughter, Shelley Hanna; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dr. Linda Hamner and Carleen Andrews.

Graveside Services will be held, 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 2, 2018, Lower Chireno Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches, Texas.
