Anne Rose Pike

March 1, 1927March 13, 2018

Anne Rose (Gardner) (Russell) Pike, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 13. She was born on March 1, 1927 to Willis and Mary (Dolan) Gardner in Lowell, MA. The youngest of eight children, she fondly remembered her siblings caring for her, along with her brother Bud who was like a second father to her, after the loss of her mother at age 3. Anne worked for Raytheon for over 15 years when she went out on a LOA for 10 years after her second marriage to Walter Pike only to return to work for another 10 years and retiring in 1992. A prior Sexton and communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, Nashua she faithfully served for many years. Anne loved her family very much. She always enjoyed getting together and was considered the ‘life of the party’. When her and her late sister Dot would get together, everyone knew there would be many laughs. She is fondly remembered for her quick wit that was delivered in a funny, timed just right and playful way. Though her family is grieving, they are comforted by the knowledge that she had shared her pleasure in having a wonderful family and a long life. She is survived by her son Gary Russell and his wife Meredith, stepson Richard Pike, stepdaughters Linda Torpey and Tricia Fiore, and sister in-law Gloria Gardner. Her grandchildren Jessica Griffin, Melissa Healy, Jason Russell and Kyle Russell, along with her great grandchildren Tyler St. Onge, Madison St. Onge, Jacob Healy and Mason Healy. She is predeceased by her first husband Charles Russell, and second husband Walter Pike, daughter Brenda Russell, son William Russell, step sons Walter Pike Jr. and David Pike, brothers Larry (Bud) Gardner, Frank & James Gardner, William Gardner, Paul Gardner, and sisters Bet Sanford and Dorothy Matthews.
