Michael Jaskiel, Sr., 65, of Nashua, NH passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Manchester VA Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born in Salem, MA on September 20, 1946, the son of the late Stanley J. and Blanch (Armstrong) Jaskiel.
Michael served his country for twenty years as a Sergeant in the U.S. Airforce. He then worked as an operations mover at McLaughlin Mayflower in Nashua for twenty-three years until his retirement. Michael was an avid candlepin bowler and was part of the pro-tour team. He was a hard working man and will be remembered by his family as a great father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is predeceased by a brother, Stanley Jaskiel.
Michael is survived by three sons, Michael C. Jaskiel and his wife Marina of Las Vegas, NV, Mark Jaskiel and his fiancée Colleen of Detroit, MI, and Matthew Jaskiel of Ohio; three sisters, Maryann Flynn and her husband Jim of Beverly, MA, Judith Drillis and her husband George of Peabody MA, and Helen Newport of Jefferson, NC; nine grandchildren, Marah-Leigh, Seth, Austin, Joseph, Dominic-Xander, Mark, Samantha and Victoria; two great grandsons, Dorian and LaRon; lifelong companion, Judith Ann Carter; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There were no calling hours. A graveside service was celebrated Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10AM at NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH, 03303. The ZIS-SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, 26 KINSLEY STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060 has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael’s name to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
