Ronnie Dale Houshour, 73, passed away in his home in Columbus, Indiana on December 13,2019 with his loving family by his side. Ronnie was born in Heltonville, IN, the son of the late Rod and Gertie (Hays) Houshour on October 23, 1946.
Ronnie was the youngest of seven children. He served in Korea and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Joyce Fields in Bloomington on March 8, 1969. He worked as a glass glazier for 30 years at Kenny Glass in Columbus.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 50 years; Joyce Fields Houshour, two children; Jeff Houshour of Seymour, IN and Shannon (husband Chris) Matlock of Brown County, IN.
He is also survived by two grandchildren; Seth Matlock and Gracie Matlock and one brother; Richard Houshour.
Ronnie was preceded in death by four sisters; Gayle Clark, Gladys Kilburn, Kathleen Smith and Wilma Graves and one brother; Howard Houshour.
Visitation for Ronnie will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Rd. 135 North, Nashville, Indiana 47448. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. also in the funeral home. Burial with military rites performed by the Brown County veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army in Duncan Cemetery.
