I was so very saddened to know this. I just wish I had known in time for his home going because I would have been there . (David ) too .
Mr and Mrs Turner and Joe were our neighbors for around 14 years on Saunders Ave .
I loved Mr and Mrs Turner , but Mr Tuner was always my friend and I admired him as a Godly man . I’m thankful that I did get to see him so many times after we moved .
I thought of him often when he was living on Indian Lake . I meant so many times to stop there and see him when we passed the place he was living .

I had no idea about his military life until now . I was just a 12 year old kid when I first met him . But he always treated me like his family .

I’ll see that smile one day again !
I know where he is !
Love you always ,

I was Turner's pastor at Aldersgate United Methodist Church for 11 years. He was an integral part of church life teaching Sunday School,
doing the Easter sunrise service, and singing in the choir. And he and his beloved Lou were great supporters of me and my family.
He was one of the finest men I've ever met and I thank God for him.

Turner and Mrs Lou was a big influence in my life. I was blessed to have been raised at Meridian Street Methodist Church were Turner was an important part of the church and Lou taught Sunday School. You never met either of them that you didn't receive a smile. Turner was a true friend to my dad to the day he died.
Joe so sorry for you loss but know your parents touched many lives and were loved by all.
