Melissa was my dear friend and mentor at the FDIC. We commuted to work together for years and had so many good times. She was so smart and funny and beautiful and she always remained in my heart, although I haven't seen her for years. She taught me so much and I will remember her always. Love to Don and family at this very sad time.

Melissa was my suite mate in college, house guest for a summer, and a great friend, hadn't seen her since she left dc area - but miss her greatly . The world is a little darker with her passing, but every time I see a rose I will think of her

Melissa was one of my oldest friends, having met in 2nd grade. We remained friends through careers, marriages, moves, and distance. I can't believe she is gone - one of my life's lanterns has burnt out. I valued her friendship more than I can say and she will be greatly missed.
