His comfy chair is empty,
His fishing poles stand alone
His oil paints, brushes and canvasses
Are waiting for him to come home.

His war game buddies miss him,
On the computer they played at night.
His fishing buddies tell stories,
The lake just doesn't seem right.

No more sounds of his walking cane,
Tapping across the floor
This can't really be happening,
I've never needed him more.

Our hearts are shattered and broken,
He was taken way too fast.
No time for proper good-byes,
The pain just seems to last.

We are left now with memories,
Of my funny, sweet, comical dad.
Lord please just 5 more minutes
It's more than what we had.

**We miss you terribly, thought of daily and loved beyond measure, Dad**

So many good times spending summers and holidays with Ashley, Uncle Dicky, Aunt Virginia and family! He was such a happy and upbeat person. I don't remember him ever being in a bad mood. I am sorry I didn't visit more, but I am so happy for all the good times we had together, and I thank you for welcoming me into your home and being so nice to me like you were my own grandparents.

Good fishing buddies are hard to come by these days. The lake is already a sadder place without him. Richard will be sorely missed by all of us.

So very sorry for your loss. Just wish there was something I could do to lessen the hurt for all of you but particular for Virginia. I know how much you will miss Richard. Just know I am here if you need anything. Love - Phyllis

Mrs Copelin and family. Although I have never met Richard in person I know I have lost a true friend.
Being a longtime member of the R&R gaming group I can honestly speak for all us members in saying that the game will never be the same. He will be greatly missed.
Over the course of the past several years I have had many conversations with him when it was just he and I on the gaming channel.
I lost my father a little over three years ago and Richard helped fill that void.
He had the same passion for Crappie fishing that my father had.
I always wanted to meet him and regret that I did not ever get the chance to do so.

Deepest condolences,

Jerry Dougherty "R&R Jagtec" or as Richard called me "Jag-Bob"

Aunt Virginia I'm so sorry I can't be there with you at this time. Uncle Dicky was so special. I miss him already. He was such an awesome husband, father, grandfather and Uncle. I will never forget him bringing me Crispy Cream donuts. Please know that I am with you in spirit and share your broken heart.

Virginia and family- We want to extend our deepest condolences with the loss of Richard.
I knew him for over twelve years, and it was always enjoyable to talk with him.
He was known by all of us in his group, 'R&R' as a kind and easygoing man with an enduring sense of humor.
We also knew he loved his family deeply and was so proud of them.
I'll miss his stories of the Nashville stars he met in his gas station and garage years ago.
I'll miss his infectious laugh, and I'll miss his passion for fishing, as well the tales of what he caught.
We pray for God's peace and mercy to uphold you in the days ahead.
