Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 76 years, Wanda and daughters Adina Peters, Eileen Funk, Judy (Wayne) Urbonas and Carla (Darren) Thiessen. Grandchildren Adrian Peters (Kathleen), Amber (Matthew) Hoover, Robert (Jill) Urbonas, Kim (Cory) Lind, Kenton (Jacqui) Jantzen, and Carter (Ashley) Jantzen. He is also survived by Great-Grandchildren Taylor and Riley Peters, Blake, Katelyn and Chase Jantzen, Addisyn and Jocelyn Jantzen, Fiona Lind. He is survived by his brother John in Abbotsford BC, sister-in-law Deanna Neufeld, Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Johann and Helena Neufeld, parents-in-law Gerhard and Malwina Neufeld, brother Abram (Helen), sister Helen (Peter) Peters, sister-in-law, Rita Neufeld and brothers-in-law George (Bertha) and Harry (Hilde, Susan) Neufeld and sister-in-law Agnes (Jake) Derksen and son-in-law, Artur Peters.
Dad was an educator, beginning his career teaching in a one-room schoolhouse, going on to be founding principal of Westgate Collegiate, and retiring as Liaison of all Independent Schools in Manitoba. He had a passion for music as a soloist and choral director in many, varied musical endeavours. He loved woodworking, the outdoors, the family cottage at Grand Beach and family gatherings. His faith was evident to those who knew him and he willingly served in many aspects of his Mennonite church, from his home congregation to Mennonite Church Manitoba.
The celebration of his life will be held at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street on Monday, July 4, 2022 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
