Charles E. Watson Sr.

Charles E. Watson Sr. 86 years of age , died Wednesday May 30, 2018. He was born April 22, 1932 in Monroe, MI. to the late Harry A. and Anna Jane (Petry) Watson and was the widower of his wife Wanda Darlene (Richards) Watson. Charles was retired from the old International Harvester Company and was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. as well as a member of Graceland Baptist Church. After his retirement he spent his time as a handyman with people and completing many jobs for many businesses and people. Survivors include: Six children; Charles E. Watson Jr.(Rhonda), Timothy E. Watson(Michelle), Brian E. Watson, Robbie J. Watson, Teresa A. Watson, and Melissa R. Watson(Clint). Also surviving are 6 Grandchildren and 2 Greatgrandchildren, one sister Joyce McCracken and several nieces and nephews. Visitation 10:00 am until 2:00 pm Saturday June 2nd, at Kraft Funeral Service 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Indiana. Funeral Service with Military Honors 2:00 pm Saturday June 2nd, in the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel. Private Burial will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Sorry we didn't make it to the funeral,was not notified. May the good Lord above wrap HIS loving arms around Uncle Bubby and shower him with HIS Grace and love. May HE hold him near till our day comes to join him in him in heaven. May the Lord also comfort this family with HIS peace and show them how to celebrate his life. No more pain,no more tears,and no more suffering,now he is home with the rest of the loved ones. Amen

Sorry , I could not attend the funeral but I wanted to give my respects to this great man! He will be missed by so many and our thoughts and prayers are with Teresa and Brian also Charlie's entire family. Charlie always had great stories to tell and always made us smile.

I always love going over and playing horse shoes with bubby. he was always happy and always had a hug for everyone. Enjoy heaven.
