Dorothy Jean Holzworth

Dorothy Jean (Robison) Holzworth, 87, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, formally from Scott County, Indiana passed away 8:44 am on September 28, 2023 with her family by her side. Born January 6, 1936 at Indianapolis Community Hospital, Indiana, she was the daughter of Arthur Robinson and Catherine (Gates) Robinson. Dorothy was raised by her maternal grandparents Charles and Sarah Jane Gates of Blocher, Indiana. She was a graduate of Scottsburg High School in 1954. Dorothy married Charles Holzworth, the love of her life on December 18, 1953. She was a retired Legal/Administrative Secretary employed with the Scott County Courthouse for Eugene Hough, ICI, NuYale, and 3K Machinery. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, horse races, bingo, euchre tournaments and truly loved her cats. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and two brother's, Don (Phyllis) Robinson and Gary (Cathy) Robinson. Survivors include her husband, Charles Holzworth of 69 years; three daughters, Peggy Hunter, Teresia (Glen/Tweed Brock) Holzworth, and Cindy Holzworth; grandchildren: Matoshia (Larry) Coomer, Jeramy Vincent, Trevin Hunter and Samantha (Keegan Price) Vincent; great grandchildren, Dylan Coomer, Gavin Alexander, and Tessia Coomer; and great great grandchildren, Rilyn Price and Kaliyah Coomer. Visitation will be from 10-2 on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2778 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150-1987.
