Born in Middleboro, daughter of the late Charles A. and Amy (Caldwell) Ruhmpohl, she had lived in New Hampshire for many years before moving to Acushnet ten years ago.
She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide for many years.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Tuttle Post, Acushnet American Legion and the New Bedford Lions Club. She enjoyed sitting on the beach at Fort Phoenix and socializing with friends.
Survivors include: her companion, Arthur Morris of Acushnet; two sons, Wilbur Hatch II and his wife Kristin of Conway, NH, Charles Hatch and his wife Mary of Ossipee, NH; two daughters, Linda Haser and her husband Tim of Greenacres, FL and Patty Bell of Conway, NH; a sister, Barbara Ruhmpohl of West Wareham; brother-in-law, Kenneth Hatch; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:30 AM from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours, Sunday 5-8 PM.
