Pat Mastronardo, age 86, of New Bern, North Carolina, formerly from Oceanside and East Islip, New York, passed away on Feb. 23, 2021. He is predeceased by his loving wife Eleanor and his beloved eldest son James. He grew up in Brooklyn and Queens with his brother John and his sister Josephine, both who passed away before him. Pat was a devoted father of Richard (Susanne), Peter, Barbara Del Vecchio (Ralph), EJ Thomas (Chris) and daughter-in-law Donna. He was a loving grandfather of Dana (Leighton), Emily (Eric), Abby, Ryan, Steven, Sara, Olivia, Halle, Zachary and Jamey, and the great grandfather of William and Francesca. He was a cherished brother-in-law of Anne Kevany, Hugh and Susan Linnane, and an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Pat was a proud US Navy veteran, special branch Seabees. He was a talented woodworker with the ability to build anything, from model flying planes to home construction. He was a devoted NY Mets and NY Islanders fan and watched every game. His favorite pastime was boating and he always enjoyed being on the water, with a fascination with light houses. He was well-traveled and loved taking cross country trips to visit places across the United States on his way to visiting his family. He also loved to sing and whistle around the house. He will be missed by his beloved family.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Road, New Bern NC. A reception will follow in the Atrium of the church following the service. Inurment will follow in Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montfort Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
