Wendy always made me laugh with her quick and witty sense of humor. However, on a more serious note, she didn't hesitate to ask for prayer for herself, family and friends.

I'm glad that I had the opportunity to visit her at Pruitt before she transitioned. I'm so sorry that Hurricane Florence prevented me from visiting with the family. You have my deepest condolences.

To the family, I’m so sorry for your loss and I will keep you all in my prayers. I remember when I first met Mrs. Strickland. We bond from day one. She was my favorite patient. She will always be in my heart. I will miss her smile and kissing her on her forehead. She was a sweet lady. I’m really going to miss her.

To the family, I would like to extend my sincere sympathy. I have known Wendy for many years, mostly at bingo. Not too long ago, while she was unable to drive, I was happy to have given her a ride home from bingo. Wendy was so sweet and I will miss seeing her.

Wendy was a cousin and a very good friend. I really remember her from the time we were children at my aunt Mary's, her grandmother's birthday party. Our friendship has lasted as I have done our family research, which I shared with her the last time I saw her. I would call her to ask questions about our ancestors as I needed information that I thought she would know. I have missed calling her to chat.

I've known Wendy as my sister-in-law and the very best of friends for 55 years. A more lovely woman inside and out will never be found. There
are no words to express the sadness I feel that she is no longer with us. My love goes out to her three sweet daughters and extended family. God has gained another angel.
