Marian “Oma” Neugebauer, 90, of Bulverde, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels. She was born to Otto Klabunde and Anna Scholz Klabunde in Bexar County, Texas on February 20, 1928.
Marian was employed at Bulverde Elementary School for 37 years in the cafeteria. Her great joys in life were her faith, family, garden, many animals and the Spurs. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She accepted life as it was given and her favorite saying was, “oh well, what can you do about it?”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Neugebauer; brother, Arnold Klabunde; sister, Edna Dietz; and son-in-law, Jerry Rust.
She is survived by, daughter, Patsy Klar and husband Joe of San Antonio; daughter, Mary Klar and husband Harold of Cibolo; son, Ralph Neugebauer of Bulverde; daughter, Margie Kreuger and husband Mike of Bulverde; daughter, Carol Rust of Bulverde; daughter, Diana Trappe and husband Darrell of Bulverde; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Public Visitation will begin 4:00 PM Sunday at Zoeller Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends until 6:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Honey Creek. Interment will immediately follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the charity of one’s choice.
