Wanda E. Spraggins passed on to be with our heavenly Father on January 8, 2019 at the age of 90. She was born October 9, 1928 in Oklahoma. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Patricia Stapler (Larry) and son, Gary Spraggins; grandchildren, Angela Cottrell (Robert) and Lori Creel (Adam); great-grandchildren, Lane Cottrell (Katherine) and Ashley Cottrell; great-great granddaughter to-be in April; and special nieces, Gloria Powers and Ginger Trichell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Beulah Wright, husband, Marion Spraggins; sister, Wilma Wallach Deknegt; and grandson, Kristofer Spraggins.
Wanda absolutely loved West Texas. She and her husband loved traveling throughout the U.S. in their Airstream. They were members of West Texas Regional RV Club. Wanda also enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Citizen Thrift Store in Monahans. She will always be remembered for her love of flowers, cacti, and succulents. She definitely had a green thumb and could bring anything back to life. She will be greatly missed.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
