Often think of Doreen and am very saddened by her passing. Doreen always had a smile on her face and kindness in her heart. Miss her and remember fondly the time shared watching football, super bowl parties, trips to Boston, and playing cards over Patty's home with her close cousin's Sandy & Deb P. Also fond memories of doing homework together as we both pursued bachelor's degrees. Sister Chris cared so much for her beloved sister which was a cherished relationship that was at the heart and soul of Doreen. So sorry for your loss and am thinking of all of you and miss you all. It was the first week of college in Sept. 1976, that I had the pleasure to meet and become close friends with Doreen. I had forgotten that it was her that had taught me to play Backgammon. She had become part of my family, first with my parents, then was in my wedding and as each child of mine was born, she was their "Auntie Doreen". Doreen was honored by being Emily's Godmother, which was a perfect match, as Em has some medical conditions, where she needed daily shots, just like Auntie Doreen.
We have been there for each other, through the last 45 years, she will be forever missed. Doreen, you were the sister, I never had. RIP Doreen, Please have a drink with Jim and my parents in your new home. I will love you forever.
