Maria Dudanowicz, 75, of New Britain, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Antoni Dudanowicz of 51 years, Maria was born in Poland and traveled to the United States in the late 1960’s. Antoni and Maria spent many years traveling up and down the East Coast visiting various beaches and spending time with family. When not traveling to the beach, Maria and Antoni would visit their home in Vermont where they spent many seasons fixing up the house to make it a home. Maria was famous for her cooking and baking – especially her cheesecake. She would always make the best traditional Polish dishes for all family gatherings. During the spring and summer, Maria could be found tending to her beautiful flower garden as well as her vegetable garden. During the winter months when Maria couldn’t be in her garden, she could be found doing the daily crossword puzzle or mastering Sudoku puzzles, or working on a multitude of crafts. A master of the cross stitch, Maria created many treasured keepsakes. In addition to her husband, Antoni, Maria is survived by and will be dearly missed by: her daughter, Joanne Dudanowicz; sister Diane Szpak, of Middletown; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws in Connecticut and beyond. Maria joins in heaven her two sons, Andy and Bobby, as well as her parents, Andrew and Zofia Ostrowski, her sister Myra Bielecki, and her brother Tadek Ostrowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, Broad Street, New Britain at 10:30am. Friends and family are invited to call upon the Dudanowicz family on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at New Britain Memorial & Donald D.
