September fishing at East Grand Lake, Maine with Bob the Chef and the New Britain gang was a yearly event that I'll always cherish! The meals, the friendship, fish tales, cop stories, the smell of bacon in the morning; it was the best! New Britain lost a wonderful cop when he retired and the world has lost a wonderful man. Bob was an beloved friend for so many, many years. He was gracious and generous with his love of polish food that he brought along to picnics, he was sharing with his company and sharing of his time for visits to PA; and fishing in CT from his boat, and fishing in PA. I will cherish those memories of him.
I am so grateful to have a Bob built fishing rod with my name on it, and a Bob tyed bass streamer. He will truly be along on my fishing trips.
He will be missed by many. As a policeman, as a fisherman, as a friend, he touched many lives.
