Victoria Theresa Bialecki

Victoria T. Bialecki was born in Great Barrington, MA, May 4, 1916 to Alexander and Anna Siwik who moved to New Britain when Victoria was four years old. They first lived on Broad Street and then moved to Miller Street. She is the eldest of 7 siblings and out lived 4 of those. Victoria married Walter Bialecki at Sacred Heart church on May 13, 1939. Walter & Victoria joined St. John the Evangelist parish in 1940 having bought a house in the east end of New Britain. They were married for 50 years until Walter passed away on July 12, 1989. They had 2 children, a daughter, Victoria A. Celone (deceased) of Derby and a son, Paul of New Britain. Both Victoria A. and Paul were very active at St. John’s. Victoria is survived by a brother, Bruno Siwik of Southington and a sister, Anna Brzezinski of Florida. Her grandchildren include Ralph Celone and his wife Lisa of Thomaston, Steve Celone and his wife Carol of Derby, Mark Celone and his wife Kim of Derby, Geraldine (Celone) and her husband Tony Fama of Derby, Talitha and Aaron Henry of Texas, Elizabeth (Bialecki) and her husband Kevin Klemonski of Hebron. Victoria also leaves behind 11 great grandchildren. Victoria had been an active member and supporter of the Ladies Guild of St. John’s since 1940. As an active parishioner she hand recorded parishioners’ weekly envelope donations on statements for parishioners’ tax returns. She was a caregiver to her brother Joe for many years until his death and an original St. John’s bingo worker, car raffle/bazaar worker and card party worker. For a number of years, Victoria enjoyed fishing at the beach. Special Thanks, Appreciation and Praise must go out to Shelly White and her team of caregivers from January 2017 through May 2018; and to Margaret Luscikauskas (Caregivers and Companions, LLC.) and her team of caregivers from June 2018 through July 2018; and to the Hartford Health Care team of hospice nurses, aides and various other services it provided in making Victoria’s journey so spiritually uplifting and so physically peaceful and comfortable; and to Eucharistic Minister Janet Beliveau for bringing Communion and representing St. John’s (Holy Family) parish family to Victoria on Sundays. Her funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 24th, 2018 at 9:15am from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. John Evangelist Church, 31 Newington Ave., New Britain. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8pm at the Funeral Home.
