Wendy M. Grosso, 56, of Farmington passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Married for 34 years, she is the wife of Robert Grosso. Wendy was born in New Britain, daughter of the late William and Elsie (Hughes) Naples. Wendy attended New Britain Public Schools and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She was a proud graduate of Quinnipiac College, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Wendy had been employed for 30 years as a trade show coordinator for Displaycraft of Plainville. Wendy’s varied interests included music, dance, gardening, exercising and traveling. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends. Wendy had a kind and generous nature and will be remembered by all who knew her for willingness to lend a helping hand, and for her lively and loving spirit. In addition to her husband, Wendy leaves behind her twin brother William Naples, Jr, and his wife Donna of New Britain, and sisters, Chiara L. Leone and her husband Thomas of Newington, Barbara J Bartholomew and Roger J. Bartholomew of Plainville, Elizabeth M. Sitz and her husband Scott F. of Middletown, and Marie N. Gagnon and her husband Raymond J. of Newington. Wendy was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Naples. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of dear friends and neighbors. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Hartford Hospital for their care and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10 AM at Saint Joseph Church 195 South Main Street, New Britain. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends may call at The New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain; Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM.
