of 78. Joe was born on September 8, 1940, in Baguio City, Philippines to Tranquilino and Consuelo
Fajardo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Perlita “Perl”; two daughters Melinda Kantor and Michele
Wang; sons-in-law Jeffrey Kantor and Stephen Wang; three grandchildren Leo and Isabel Kantor and
Anabela Wang; and his brother Tranquilino Fajardo, Jr.
Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Pharmacy from the University of the
Philippines College of Pharmacy. Shortly after immigrating to the United States, Joe moved to Rockland
County to work for Lederle Laboratories, where he was employed for over thirty years. He loved his
family, fishing, carpentry, and gardening.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 10am at Saint Anthony’s Church in Nanuet.
Inurnment will follow at Saint Anthony’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
